Area of Greatest Need

(Unrestricted gift)

Lake Forest Hospital Technology Advancements

Gifts will support bringing the latest technologies to the hospital, offering advanced medical care and the most reliable management of health care data. Electrophysiology computers will be added to our cardiac catheterization lab, allowing physicians to view 3-dimensional images to monitor electrical activities of the heart during cardiac procedures. An Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system will integrate patient data into a single, paperless model with functionality across all hospital departments.

CareCoach

Lake Forest Hospital's mobile health unit serves the medically under-served population of Lake County. The CareCoach will provide vital health screenings at no charge to over 4,000 people in 2008. Funding will help support purchase of a new vehicle.

Nursing Education

Gifts will support ongoing nursing education, helping Lake Forest Hospital nurses maintain certification in their area of speciality. In 2009 Lake Forest Hospital will complete its application for Magnet certification, an award recognizing excellence in patient care across hospital disciplines.

Grayslake Campus Development

Our Grayslake Acute Care Center has rapidly grown to meet the health care needs of northwest Lake County and is now open 24 hours-a-day. Gifts directed to the Grayslake Acute Care Center will support continued expansion of facilities and services.
